GreatBuildz is a free service that connects homeowners with a selection of top-notch general contractors. We’ll individually match you with great contractors based on your specific project, budget, location, schedule, and other requirements.
All GreatBuildz approved contractors have been thoroughly screened using our rigorous 10-step vetting process and agree to maintain our high standards of conduct.
How does GreatBuildz help me with my renovation?
We’ve taken the stress and hassle out of finding the best contractor for your project. Just tell us about your renovation and our friendly GreatBuildz staff will personally match you with several reputable contractors near you.
We’ll regularly follow up with both you and your contractor matches to ensure things are on track including communications, timely site visits, and project estimates. If you choose to hire a GreatBuildz contractor, our staff will continue to check in throughout the entire renovation to ensure everything is going smoothly and you’re happy with the progress. You’ll be assigned a GreatBuildz client manager who will always be available to you, ensuring you can get help and guidance from a real human.
Are GreatBuildz contractors vetted?
Yes! In order for a contractor to join our exclusive network, they must pass our signature 10-point evaluation criteria, including our Contractor Code of Conduct. If a contractor is listed on GreatBuildz, it means we know they are top-notch. Learn more about our vetting process here.
What areas does GreatBuildz serve?
The GreatBuildz service extends through most of Southern California, including Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura Counties.

What kind of project is right for GreatBuildz contractors?
GreatBuildz general contractors are specialists in major renovation projects, including kitchen renovations, bathroom remodels, room additions, landscape/hardscape, pools, ADUs, garage conversions, etc. Most projects start at $15,000 and up.
How is GreatBuildz different from other online contractor review/search websites?
Unlike other online review boards and listing sites, we believe homeowners deserve the support of a real human to help them find a great contractor and have a successful renovation process.
